ECE Board Visitors
The ECE Board Visitors is the industrial advisory board of the Department. The membership is drawn from local, regional and national industries. Their mission is to advise the Department on its programs, curricula, research & development projects and outreach to the community. They also work on raising funds for department awards, scholarships and other activities. The first meeting was convened in fall 2000 under the Chairmanship of Matt Davis of Nevada Power. The current Chair of the Board is Mr. John Fountain, The Board usually meets twice a year, in October and April. A typical agenda for the meeting includes approval of minutes of the previous meeting, state of the Department presentation by the Chair of the Department, presentation of curricular issue/ ABET preparation, discussion of suggested projects, and general discussion.
